I love me some AB skin care products but my wallet doesn't hahaha.

Hello, everyone! After being a hermit for months I'm back with something I'm really excited to share. Our mockboards did take all my social time away and I only have my books, family and friends to keep me sane lately. But I do have time to squeeze in some skin care shopee-ing and research lol. A quick shoutout to Liah Yoo aka queen of skin care ♥ Her videos are A++++

D E A R  K L A I R S  SUPPLE FACE TONER

  • Hydrates my face and makes my skin soft all day! I used only my hands in applying this by patting the product onto my face.
  • Alcohol and paraben free! If you read the ingredients list, there's no harmful chemical that is included. I have to give props to SkinCarisma for providing a comprehensive and informative ingredients analyzer feature.
  • It is not as watery or runny as the other toners. I am used to watery texture for toners, but this does have a viscous texture that might feel a little tacky for first timers, but don't fret! because the product is easily absorbed by the skin and won't leave any sticky and tacky feeling.
  • It is Korea's most-raved about toner since 2015-ish. It's popular for its maximum hydration and pH balancing. Toners are essential part of a skin care routine. I can't go on a day without applying a toner 😍

M I S S H A  TIME REVOLUTION ESSENCE

  • Very very very hydrating!
  •  It also has an active ingredient which is Niacinamide that brightens the skin and controls the oil production. If Vitamin C is too irritating for your skin, Niacinamide is a good substitute because it's more stable.
  • It hasn't made tremendous effect on my skin but I feel like I'm not that oily as much compared to when I just use toners and moisturizers!
  • Alcohol and paraben free!
  • Makes my skin glow! Even if it's not the Korean dewy-ish glow, I can still feel like there's a subtle glow which indicates that my skin is getting healthier. I have a long way to go, but I know it's changing hehe

E L U J A I  PROPOLIS AMPOULE

  • SKIN SAVER!!!!!!!!!!! Chant with me "SKIN SAVER! SKIN SAVER!"
  • If you are like me who has stubborn hyper-pigmentation and uneven skin tone, this will tick off those problems.
  • Not sticky or tacky. You can use this as spot treatment or you can pat this around your face.
  • It comes with a dropper so it makes everything more efficient.
  • Its main ingredients are propolis and myrhh oil which are natural medicine/herbs in Korea. I'm planning to feature this on a solo post so I could talk more about it because it deserves the attention *wink wink*

I N N I S F R E E  CLAY PORE MASK

  • It claims to control sebum production, tighten pores, deep clean and exfoliate your skin.
  • For me, the purify and deep cleansing are the major use of this product.
  • It has a cooling effect on the face! I was surprised with this factor tbh hahaha.
  • The smell might not be my favorite but I can look past it. The smell isn't overpowering when applied on the face.
  • I only use this on my t-zone area since it's the most problematic part when it comes to oil and sebum production.
  • I can't say it's my holy grail yet, I still feel that it lacks wow effect.
This is my first post forthis blog series! I'm looking forward to share more of my skincare shenanigans in the future!

What are your current favorite skincare products?  What are your #RoadtoGlow products? :D

Me and my friends are always on the look for affordable getaways and foodtrips. We are often on a budget, hence the self-proclaimed title budgetarian. So when we spot a fun yet affordable activity for us during our short break, we grabbed the opportunity. I saw a post in Facebook about this unli arrow promo DMZ Archers is promoting. For one hour, you have unli-arrows for archery. It is inclusive of bow and straps. The Arrow/Oliver Queen fangirl side of me squealed in delight.

The location is kinda tricky for it's inside a village. You can use waze or ride a Tandang Sora jeepney and drop off at a gas station. There's a tricycle waiting area beside it and you have to tell the driver its at Mystic Road or you can say DMZ Archery (some drivers know, some don't). The driver will drop you off outside a red(?) building. At first, it'll be confusing since the building is clearly a salon 😅. Little did we know, the archery place is inside a salon - like there's a room inside where the DMZ is located :o. Mind-blown!

When we got there by 3pm, there were only a few people waiting. There was an ongoing session of archery so we had to wait for 20 minutes. The system inside is very strict. Before we could start shooting arrows, they showed us tutorials and laid the rules. The arrows are sharp and dangerous if not handled with caution. We have to wait for the others to finish shooting before we could retrieve our arrows and start shooting again.

Since it was my first time, my arms were shaking so bad. I missed the bullseye and keep hitting the outside circles. There was even an incident where my arrow literally flew pass the shooting board hahahahaha. But once I got the hang of it, the archery became semi-seamless (my arms were still shaking though haha). I became more relaxed and comfortable with the equipment.

This lasted for one hour and boooooyyy did my arm hurt. The bow was heavy plus my nervousness was in the way. Rougly 70+ arrows were used for one hour (that's so maaaaany!). It was a noteworthy first. I totally will come back someday with my friends. I love how the activity released my mind from my academic responsibilities. I felt both challenged and thrilled.

What can you say, Oliver Queen? ;)

In a scale of 0 to Abby, how likely are you to be a sporadic blogger? Yes, I'm back (kind of!) haha. I've been doing a lot of things lately hence the hiatus. being on your last term in 4th year college is stressful as heck. Deadlines are everywhere even if we're just starting the term, yikes! Anyho, I'm back with a photo diary post. I went to Singapore to attend and present our thesis paper in IWPR conference. I'll be writing a separate post for my whole SG experience in some other time, but for now, let's marvel at the beauty that is Universal Studios Singapore ♥.

Being in Universal is like entering another dimension. I couldn't comprehend the beauty the surrounded me that day, but I was completely mesmerized by every street, every corner and every building I saw. The rides inside USSG were no joke especially the Sci-Fi coasters. Looking at the people riding it already made my stomach roll haha. You have to bring power bank (it's going to be a long day of photo taking here and there) and water supply because the food inside are expensive as heck! We had our lunch at 7-11 inside Sentosa so we can save money (that's how thrifty we were lol).

Transformers: The Ride was the best ride for us. It was aaamzeballs to the max. We rode it two times just because it was that awesome. We watched all the 4D shows in every category except for The Mummy! WE REGRET IT :(. The New York themed street has the most "pang-blogger" backgrounds hahaha.

If you're planning for a Singapore trip, make sure to include this in to your itinerary. You will absolutely enjoy the buildings and the thrilling rides.

My favorite theme was Shrek. It just brings a lot of memories from my childhood especially I am very fond of the Shrek installment.

Tip: If you want to save $4 SGD in buying tix, you should purchase your tix inside the Sentosa mall (shoutout to the Filipino kuya for being kind to us!).

I planned to do this on a weekly basis, but ooops, I missed last week! It's starting to get sooo busy in school so I'm really missing-in-action in the blogoshpere :(

1. Cold cold cold overnight swimming! My friend, James, celebrated his birthday with a swimming getaway. We went overnight swimming (7pm-4am) in a resort. It was already cold around 11 pm and we stayed on the pool for one hour haha! (weaklings!) The rest of the time we ate A LOT, played UNO cards where our friendships were tested, pusoy dos (I only won twice!), 1-2-3 pass and lots of storytime plus *wink wink* revelations 🙊🙈🙉

2. White House Burger with Ivan. Oh gaaah, the burgers there are yuuuuuuum and the price ranges from 20 pesos to 50 pesos ONLY! I introduced it to Ivan this week and he keeps asking if we could buy there for merienda ♥

3. Truffles Attack! One of my friend introduced me to this girl who's selling chocolate truffles and cheessecake all around the campus. She's selling so she can support her expense in Mapua. The first time I ate one M&M truffle, I was floored! And now I keep coming back for more. Her truffles are haven for people with sweet tooth like me. (IVAN IS SUCH A SLY FLUFFBALL huhu he keeps surprising me ♥)

4. After three weeks of being stucked in a dorm-school setup, I finally had the chance to go home in Antipolo. I missed my mom's cooking and we also celebrated dad's 52nd birthday YAY!

5. PS: I Like You by Kasie West. My first book of the year turned out very swoony! This is my 6th novel from Kasie. SHE'S THAT AWESOME, I SWEAR. Her books are my feel-good and to-go-to books ♥ Check it out here.

6. I finally finished Plate 1 of our Microwave Design class. I've been doing this for a week now. It's so complicated but I think the design went well.

7. Two overnights in one week. Blame our plate 1! It's so fun to procrastinate and do school works with college friends. What actually happened: 50% eating time, 25% actual school work and 25% talking, story time and shenanigans 😏

IT'S YOUR TURN! WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT RECENTLY MADE YOU HAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPY? ♥♥ SPILL IT IN THE COMMENT SECTION, LOVELIES ♥

Thought: Does Kasie West ever go wrong? I'm escalated that my first read for 2017 was a squee-filled one. This was utterly adorable. The main character, Lily, is a very witty person. It wasn't hard to love her and her family.
