I always have a radar over Jessica Sorensen's books. I truly admire her talent in writing and telling stories. The Secret of Micha and Ella is like the 11th book of her that I read.  Just a quick note: While I don't like the repetitive scenes and overused plot, I finally caved into finishing it. Why? Because there's something in the story that prevents someone from stopping. I had a few eye roll and meh, but some scenes really made me Awww.

I am a big sucker for childhood bestfriends that is why I kinda rated this higher than what I intended to. The characters were a little bit out my league. At first, I really can't decipher what are they running from. It made me confuse the whole 50% of the book. The characters especially Ella made me mehh a lot of times, but I guess she redeemed herself on the latter part of the book. While I do enjoy Micha's character a bit more than Ella, he's still the usual NA leading lad. Yup he's sexy, but the most striking about him is his intention and genuine when it comes to Ella. I really find that damn romantic.

I was a tad disappointed, but this is NA, I am used being disappointed with the stories.

The Forever of Ella and Micha
Author: Jessica Sorensen
Published Date: October 15, 2013

Synopsis:
Ella and Micha have survived tragedy and heartbreak. When they're together, anything seems possible. But now they are thousands of miles apart, and managing their long distance relationship will put their love to the test.

Ella is back at school, trying hard not worry so much about her future. But with her father in and out of rehab, she's having a hard time making it through the days. All she wants is Micha by her side, but she refuses to let her problems get in the way of his dreams.

Micha spends his days touring the country with his band, but deep down he knows something is missing. Being away from Ella is harder than he thought it would be. He wants her closer to him-needs her with him. But he won't ask her to leave college, just to be with him.

The few moments they do spend together are intense and passionate, but it only makes it more difficult when they have to part. They know they want to be together, but is wanting something enough to get them to their forever?

I would like to commend Micha and Ella for redeeming themselves in their situation. FINALLY, a second book with so much progress and development. I thought that this will be another eye roll inducing continuation of the story, but hell I was wrong. This was much much much better than the first. And while the title sounds so cliche and cheesy (which it does) I do enjoy the emotion and angst between the main characters.

The problems with Ella's family was slightly fixed that I sighed happily for the progress. While Micha's father was still a total douchebag, I do like the way things work for Micha.

The story thought me a lesson that life isn't perfect (obviously), we make mistakes, we mend, we broke, we collect and compose ourselves back, we may forgive, but the past will always be a good reminder of how we were tested and strengthen the way we are now in the present.

I seriously was happy to read how Ella fought all the depression and anxiety. I honestly don't understand her fuilly cause I never experienced what she had been through, but I felt it beyond the pages of the book. There was a lot of emotions reeking from the story, I am just..... omg :(
