Synopsis:
For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. J lynn, sure knows how to make steamy scenes into blazing ones.
I admit that the mix reviews made me iffy, but I thought, why not give it a try. And so I read it. Well, the start was pretty "oh, bestfriends" and "oh, oozing hot guy bestfriend" and lastly "oh, a fucker". Syd and Kyler's relationship was a whirl of untold feelings and wrong assumptions. Syd thought Kyler has no hots for her because she isn't the kind of chic he'll take in for a night. Kyler thought that he isn't deserving for the too innocent Syd. Guess what happened? It took them years...years to admit to each other that they are madly, irrevocably and insanely inlove with each other.
I both liked and disliked the book. Maybe somewhere in between. I generally liked the "i am inlove with my bestfriend but I don't want to ruin our friendship and he isn't interested with me" storyline, but what messed up the whole concept was the scenes in between. Kyler became obsessive that kinda made me cringe and Sydney became too melodramatic for all I care. Just why guys, why. The half of the book was pretty good with the angst and sexual tension, but then it came into ruin in the latter part. I kept whining I am sorry
